The Brisbane High School for Girls (B.G.H.S.), now known as Somerville House, was founded in October 1899 by Miss Eliza Fewings. Queensland Coatings Removal (QCR) successfully removed layers of old paint from delicate brickwork, restoring its original beauty while preserving the integrity of the surface.
Stuartholme School was established in 1920 as a convent and educational institution operated by the Catholic Sacred Heart Order of Nuns. Its main building, designed by the Sydney architectural firm Hennessy, Hennessy, Keesing & Company, was constructed between 1917 and 1920.
Queensland Coatings Removal was tasked with removing multiple layers of lead-based paint from approximately 400m² of pressed metal ceilings on the fourth floor, utilizing over 60m of blasting hose to efficiently complete the job.
The final result was exceptional, showcasing the expertise and precision of Queensland Coatings Removal in handling complex and delicate projects.
Constructed in the late 19th century, the Works Hill Residential Precinct comprises two detached houses, four duplexes, and one cottage. Queensland Coatings Removal undertook paint removal works that were vital to preserving and enhancing the heritage value of the village, ensuring all tasks were performed in a way that honored the historical significance of the precinct.
